The Washington Post Identifies Leaker's Profile

As D.C. and foreign capitals continue to assess the damage from the leak of highly classified documents, The Washington Post has cobbled together a profile of the online user OG: “a young, charismatic gun enthusiast who shared highly classified documents with a group of far-flung acquaintances searching for companionship amid the isolation of the pandemic. United by their mutual love of guns, military gear, and God, the group of roughly two dozen—mostly men and boys—formed an invitation-only clubhouse in 2020.”

The Trans Fight, Now In North Dakota

The state is at least the 20th to pass limits on how transgender girls and women can participate in school sports, although all seem heading to a clash with Biden-backed policies that could force at least some tweaks. As The New York Times reports, Republican Gov. Doug Burgum signed into law the trans bill just two years after he vetoed something similar on the grounds of it being a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist in his state.

PBS Joins NPR in Quitting Twitter

After being labeled as state-content by the social-media behemoth, NPR and some of its journalists said they were done with the platform. PBS soon followed suit. As Variety notes, tax dollars provide less than 1% of NPR’s revenues, and  about 15% of the revenue for the public television system. Twitter chief Elon Musk responded with a call for lawmakers to cut off all subsidies as punishment.
