Are you a tactile learner? I’m more verbal myself, but I can certainly appreciate the clever hack that Joshua Holt came up with to pay off his law school debt. The New York City lawyer graduated with $192,000 in loans, which he symbolized with a paper chain in his apartment. Each link represented $1,000, and when he paid off that amount he clipped the link. A growing number of adults are bringing debt with them into retirement, and that can be a real threat to their financial security. It’s a hard problem to tackle, but Holt was able to pay off his debt in just seven years. Learn more about how in today’s edition.
Best wishes,
Elizabeth
