Let me tell you about my neighbor George. This summer, he rode his motorcycle 9,500 miles from Brooklyn to Alaska and back, all by himself. He's a total badass. The best part? He was 70 years old at the time. At an age when some folks are slowing down, George was revving his engine. His story teaches us that it's never too late for adventure. It reminds me of an excerpt I read from Twyla Tharp's new book, Keep It Moving. In it, the famous choreographer talks about the importance of moving forward as we get older. Age isn't the enemy, she says. The real enemy is stagnation, staying in one place. Now, a motorcycle trip into the wild might not be your idea of a good time. That's fine -- there are plenty of ways to mix it up. Just promise me you'll add some challenges to your retirement bucket list. For inspiration, read more about George in today's edition.
Best wishes,
Elizabeth
