Editor in Chief, TIME for Kids

Readers of this newsletter will know how inspired I am by kids who take action to improve the world. So it gives me great joy to announce the launch of a new TIME for Kids initiative: Service Stars! This digital platform is made possible by the Allstate Foundation, which empowers young people to serve their community and create positive change.

Each month, Service Stars will spotlight kids who are performing acts of service, both big and small, and name a TFK Kid of the Month, profiling an amazing youth who can inspire us all. We’ll also share resources and ideas tied to our Mission of the Month feature, to give all kids the tools they need to make positive changes in their own community.

Do you know a young person who might want in on the action, or someone we should consider featuring as a Kid of the Month? Learn more about Service Stars at ti.me/stars, or reach out to me directly at andrea@time.com.

Best,
Andrea
