“Climate change is not a pleasant thing to think about. . . . Which is why talking about it with children can be daunting.” This is the sentiment of my colleagues Emily Barone and Kyla Mandel, introducing their recommended reading list, 14 Actually Good Books to Teach Kids About Climate Change.
The selections were curated by TIME and TIME for Kids editors, with recommendations from a variety of experts. The books cover a range of topics and are written for a range of ages, but they’re all enjoyable to read, and written to inspire hope and empowerment.
I hope you’ll check out the list, and some of the books. If you have others to recommend, please share them with me—you can reach me at andrea@time.com.
Best, Andrea
