Happy weekend, Money readers! I wanted to bend your ear inbox for just a second and let you know about an exciting new project Money launched this week for our 50th anniversary. It’s called Money Archives and is a vault that anyone can access for free. What’s in it? Our print magazines from the past, of course. We kicked off Money Archives by uploading five fully digitized issues — one from each of the past five decades — including our first-ever issue, which dropped 50 years ago this month. (My favorite tip in that 1972 edition is to buy a $1.29 booklet on how to complain better and “put some order into your outrage.”) We’ll be adding more issues as time goes on, so check out Money Archives and see our personal finance advice from yesteryear, along with vintage images. Let me know what you find. Sincerely,Mike Ayers Executive Editor |
