Alice Walton, an heir to the Walmart fortune, is investing her wealth in an unexpected place: educating a new generation of doctors. Walton's medical school, which opened last week in Bentonville, Ark., focuses on training students in preventive medicine with a heavy dose of humanities and community service. "Our health system is broken," she says—and a new approach to medical education just might help.
