Up to 60% of women in the U.S. will experience a urinary tract infection (UTI) during their lifetimes, and for many, the infections recur—often multiple times a year.
Today, the FDA approved a new antibiotic that works differently from existing treatments, which could help more women manage their infections. It's the first new antibiotic for UTIs in 30 years.
