I've mentioned many times that my job brings me joy. A huge part of that is getting to recognize young people for their contributions to the greater good. TIME elevates that honor by naming a Kid of the Year: an exceptional young person who's making the world a brighter place. We recently announced TIME's 2025 honoree, Tejasvi Manoj, a 17-year-old from Frisco, Texas. She was selected for her service in teaching digital literacy to seniors, to protect them from cybercrime. The project is personal to her: She started it after cybercriminals targeted her grandfather.
Manoj will be the first Service Star featured in TIME for Kids this school year. The Service Stars program is made possible by The Allstate Foundation, which empowers young people to serve and improve communities. As part of this program, TIME for Kids features kids who are taking action. Do you know one? Tell us, and learn more, at ti.me/stars.
Manoj nominated herself to be a featured Service Star. In her submission, she said she wanted her work as a digital defender to "inspire young innovators." Mission accomplished! She's inspiring people of all ages.
