Which hurt more: delivering a baby, or passing a kidney stone? I was asked this question several times during my unexpected hospital stay last week. Prior to that, the last time I was admitted to a hospital was for the birth of my youngest child. My answer came easily: Undergoing labor and delivery without pain medication was more painful. But at the end I got a sweet baby girl, whereas the end of my kidney stone ordeal was, let’s just say, less joyful.
