I try my best to avoid thinking or talking about death—which might explain why I find it so difficult to summon any words when someone dies. Yet inevitably, we'll all need them. That's why I asked a handful of grief experts to share what they’ve found works best when talking to someone who lost a loved one. My favorite involves sharing a cherished memory.
