Why are COVID-19 cases spiking again?

COVID-19 cases are spiking again, thanks to new variants and summer travel. While the numbers are nowhere near what they were during the pandemic, the virus is still contributing to severe disease and hospitalizations for older people and those with weakened immune systems. I talked to a few experts about how to protect yourself from getting sick this summer.
