I recently went to the podiatrist because I thought I had a wart—but it turned out to be a big wooden splinter. I was embarrassed, but my doctor assured me she's seen far weirder interlopers, including a shish kebab stick.
That inspired me to ask foot doctors about the strangest objects they've removed from people's feet—and their stories range from amusing to horrifying.
