When Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear won re-election last year in a deep red state, he did so through his convincing portrayal of postpartisan leadership. That's why the Democrat landed a spot in the latest TIME100 Next list. Now in its fifth year, the list recognizes emerging leaders shaping our world.
Beshear is joined by a handful of others well known in D.C. political circles, including Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, political scientist Hal Brands, Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar, and Republican National Committee Co-Chair Lara Trump. Also making the list this year are Damian Williams, the U.S. Attorney currently prosecuting New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and Ian Bassin and JustinFlorence, veterans of the Obama administration and co-founders of the nonprofit Protect Democracy.
